So this is one of the several animal trophies located in the Fairbanks airport. Unfortunately, I feel as lucky as that moose because night #1 in Fairbanks has not blessed me with a viewing of the Northern lights. Hanging out at 2:00 AM on an isolated hill when you are surrounded by various animal tracks is a bit disconcerting.
On a side note, I noticed it was 19 degrees out here and I was told its been relatively warm recently. I guess I should consider myself lucky! Most cars out here have an electric receptacle in front of them so that you can plug the car into an electrical outlet to keep the engine warm when its parked.
